Atletico Madrid open door for Alvarez Arsenal switch

The Spanish club have finally moved from their previous hardline stance, creating an opening for the Gunners to pursue a deal, according to the Daily Express.

Alvarez has been a long-standing target for Arsenal, but Atletico's willingness to negotiate marks a significant shift in their negotiating position. The timing comes as the transfer window enters its final weeks, with clubs racing to complete business before the deadline.

Arsenal have been actively strengthening their squad ahead of the new season, and a move for the Argentine forward would represent a substantial addition to their attacking options. Atletico's change of heart opens the possibility of meaningful talks between the two clubs over both transfer fee and personal terms.

The move would mark another high-profile transfer in what has already been a busy summer window across Europe's top leagues.
