City aims to kill Arsenal's title dream, Putellas ready to feast on Spurs

Manchester City, perched atop the Women's Super League, hasn't dropped a game since April. Arsenal? They're stuck in a swamp, courtesy of Renee Slegers. No wins in their last three league matches. Embarrassing, really, how they blew a two-goal lead against Paris midweek, settling for a 2-2 draw. If they lose Sunday, that's a ten-point chasm opening up to City. Good luck coming back from that.

Arsenal needs to show some backbone. Something, anything, they've been missing lately. City, though, with their swagger and clear dominance, won't be in a merciful mood. Not if Arsenal shows even a hint of weakness.

Over on the other side of London, Martin Ho's Tottenham has a tricky afternoon. They're up against the London City Lionesses at 2pm. The Lionesses are in good nick, both clubs picking up decent points since April. Alexia Putellas, the Spanish wizard for the Lionesses, looks right at home. She's a clear and present danger to Spurs' backline, which, let's be honest, isn't exactly Fort Knox. This woman's got a 129-game scoring streak. She knows how to win.

Saturday sees Eva Olid's Manchester United hosting Liverpool. Sunday, Chelsea's famously stubborn defence squares off against West Ham. All six WSL fixtures, if you're interested, are live on Sky Sports from 2pm.
