Isak and Wirtz Named in Liverpool Starting Lineup for Leeds Friendly

The Reds fielded the attacking pair in the match on Sunday, 2 August 2026, according to Sky Sports. The fixture served as warm-up preparation ahead of the new season, with both players given opportunities to build match fitness and understanding with their teammates.

Details of the full team sheet and match action were limited at the time of reporting, but the selection of Isak and Wirtz in attacking roles underlined Liverpool's intent to test their attacking options during the pre-season schedule. Friendlies of this nature typically allow managers to assess squad depth and tactical combinations before competitive play resumes.
