Savio makes instant impact as Spurs advance in Carabao Cup

The Portuguese winger made an immediate impression following his arrival at the club, opening the scoring in what proved a comfortable evening for Ange Postecoglou's side.

Spurs' progression came without any drama, suggesting a performance of control and clarity in the cup competition. The ease of their passage points to a squad firing on all cylinders early in the campaign.

Savio's swift adaptation stands out—few players make an immediate goal-scoring contribution on debut, yet the former Braga man did so straightaway. For Spurs, that composure on the night coupled with a debut display of this standard suggests they have added a talent capable of making an early season impact in multiple competitions.

According to Sky Sports, the victory set up a third-round tie and underlined Spurs' credentials as cup contenders.
